Progressive Institute of computer Sciences ( PICS) is not just a simple institute for affording quality education and disseminating real knowledge, which is the inevitable need of the time and country, to students and light the lamp of modern education in each nook and corner of the area. And this is the proven fact that from 2002 to 2004 almost all the Government and Private educational institutions contacted PICS to train their students ( boys and girls). Our institute did the job marvellously and its fame spread swiftly.In the course of time we educated and trained about 1200 families. We are proud that now most of our students are being employed in various schools and banks to fulfil the needs in IT discipline. PICS was launched in 1999.At the outset it was a very humble inception. The area was just a void as for as the computer education is concerned. The native people were scarcely aware of IT. There was just a photostat shop where typing was taught at ancient typing machines and beyond that "full stop". it was indeed a very sorry state of affairs. In these miserable circumstances, I was directed by my worthy, honourable and candid teacher, Prof Syed Toqir Abbas Naqvi, who brooded over this dismal situation, to jump into the arena and take the responsibilty of spreading the beaconlight of computer education.I feel no hesitation to admit that this " Gigantic" approach would not have been possible had there been no generous and wise help and counselling of Prof. Syed Toqir Abbas Naqvi. Our Institute will always be obliged to his candid selfless efforts in this concern. We are also expecially grateful to Dr Hamid Naeem Awan. He at every step enlightened us with his wise counsellling and guidnace.When the ship of PICS started sailing cautiously, more and more skilled sailors stepped forward to help it cruise along. How can we ignore the unignorable services of Mz. Nargis Kazmi, Sir Majeed, Sir Akram, and many others.
